Project Manager

We are currently looking to fill a Project Manager position,
covering maternity leave from 24 May 2021 — 11 March 2022

Full-time: 4 days per week (Remote)
Contract start date: 10 May 2021 (to facilitate two week training overlap).

The PM role is both an external and internal one; balancing the needs and requirements of the client with those of the internal team (and partner agencies) to help ensure the quality of the work is high, projects run efficiently, communications are clear and the process is smooth and not onerous.

The emphasis of this particular PM role will be on website design and development, with the development executed by external partners. Thus a requirement will be liaison with these partners. We are looking for someone with 4-5 years minimum experience. There is some flexibility for a 4-day week depending on the level of a candidate’s experience.


— In partnership with the project lead, coordinating website and other design projects’ timelines management, administrative support, and liaison with clients.

— Collaborating with Zero-G team members (designers and researchers), to ensure projects are delivered on time and on scope.

— Collaborating with partners e.g. development teams on web build.

— Ensuring lines of communication remain open at all times and all sides have clarity over what is happening, who’s responsible for what, and when deliverables are due.

— Participating in primary and secondary (desk) research as required (e.g. surveys, interviews, interview transcription, etc).

— Flagging any quality, relationship or other issues with project leads as required.

— Project Management Skills: Ability to ensure that project plans are internalised by all project team members and that all timelines are met.

— Multi-tasker: Be able to keep track of many projects at a time, big or small.

— Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team: Ability to operate effectively as part of a team – is cordial, tolerant and willing to help others, is co-operative and patient; shares work and information; establishes rapport, can influence and motivate others.

— Conscientious: Have a proactive approach to work, anticipating and resolving problems in advance; have a keen attention to detail - from anticipating and addressing issues in advance to understanding requests and delivering quality work with minimal errors.

— Flexibility: Can operate flexibly within a busy environment; can shift focus when required.

— Client Focus: Have strong customer service skills. Be able to communicate with a high level of initiative, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.

— Motivated: Display a ‘can-do’ attitude, be committed to Zero-G and its development; demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the role.

— Exceptional people skills (i.e. management, direction, facilitation, engagement, development).

— Discretion & Trust : This is a high trust role with confidential client information and internal financial details to hand. As such the candidate should demonstrate an ability to work appropriately given these requirements.

— Comfortable using Google Docs/Sheets/Slides and Apple applications

— Comfortable using Keynote & Pages

— Comfortable using or learning into Miro, Trello etc.
